In case you aren’t up to speed. Congress passed a law in 1995 to move the American Embassy to the capital of Israel. Which is Jerusalem. Since then, every President since has promised on the campaign trail to move it. I suppose to cater to the Jewish/Israel Supporting Vote, then has signed a waiver every six months preventing it from being moved. Because they are afraid of ticking off the Muslim Countries and especially the Palestinians. This is Clinton, Bush, and Obama, so no single party is to blame for the gutlessness of it. Well, the Democrats had control for 2/3rds of the time, so maybe they have more blame. And Obama hated Israel(the only Democracy in the entire Middle East), and preferred to pander to the angry Muslim who hate America, so there’s that too.

Now first off, Palestine as a country doesn’t exist. It’s a group of people who say that Israel is theirs, and they live inside of Israel, and they cause angry terroristic havok constantly. They like to kill school kids, blow up cars, take hostages, hijack planes, stabbings, and suicide bombings. Oh, and let’s not forget stoning people to death. They mainly live in the West Bank and Gaza, thus – the constant conflict we keep hearing about regarding those two areas. And the Palestinians are supported by Hamas – another Terrorist Organization. They ain’t good people.

For the past 60 years, everyone wants to keep trying to broker a peace deal between the two sides. Obviously, that hasn’t worked out well and is probably impossible. Every time, Israel gives concessions(at American’s request) to the Palestinians, only to have them go on terror waves afterwards.

But no one likes the idea of forced eviction at bayonet point, even if it would solve the majority of Israel’s internal problems and just tick off it’s neighbors who hate them anyway.

Second off, moving the Embassy to Jerusalem legitimizes it’s capital of Israel. (Because the Palestinians say it’s theirs) Refusing to move the Embassy to the capital is an insult to our only solid ally in the Middle East. We have embassies in 136 countries, 135 of those, the embassy is in the Capital. Guess who the outlier is? (Not no more!)

So Trump fulfilled another Campaign Promise. He’s declared we are moving the Embassy. Now, the liberals/Anti-Trumpers/whoever are throwing a freaking hissy fit. But technically here, Trump is implementing Congressional Rule. Which is part of his job. Some of the same Democrats who are whining about this, voted for it back in 1995. And this was an overwhelming vote, Senate: 93 to 5, House: 347 to 37. AND six months ago, the Senate voted unanimously to reaffirm the 1995 Act of moving the Embassy to Jerusalem. Now we got brainless dolts like Bernie Sanders, who just voted to reaffirm the act, coming out and saying:

“There’s a reason why all past U.S. administrations have not made this move, and why leaders around the world have warned Trump against it: It would undermine the prospects for an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement and severely, perhaps irreparably, damage our ability to broker it.” – Sen. Bernie Sanders

Of course he’s a Politician, and a Democrat, so par the course – he flip flops depending on whats politically useful at the time. He’s also a colossal moron who thinks Venezuela is a great example of Socialism that we should mimic. (They are eating pets right now and selling children)

Then there’s Feinstein, Good Lord, can someone vote her out of office already? She voted to reaffirm the 1995 act also.

Perfect example of gutless people cowering before the threat of violence by extremists. Seriously. Four thousand were killed, almost 70% of them were civilians, because Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon visited a freaking holy site inside of Israel, that Muslim’s won’t allow Jews to visit. The Temple Mount is where King Solomon, first son of King David, built the first Temple.

But Muslims claim it as their holy site. Because like most things Islamic, their wrong and ridiculous.

The proof is in the fact that Judaism predates Islam. So suck on that losers. It ain’t yours.

But Bravo Trump. He put his foot down, refused to capitulate to the threat of violence for doing the right thing. That’s leadership, that’s courage, that’s America.

And his selected UN Ambassador, Nikki Haley, is awesome. Like most people, when he selected her, I kind of scratched my head and figured it was a political move. Promote her from her Governorship of SC and replace her with a political ally who is more supportive.

But hot damn. She rocks. I can’t think of a braver human being, who will stand before the sucky United Nations – and all the Tyrants, Dictators, Human Rights Abusers, Socialists, Communists, and spineless cowards, and tell them to their face that America will not be ruled by a World Government un-elected by American voters who constantly berates and insults us while taking our money.

We give them 8 BILLION dollars of TAX PAYER money. There are 193 members of the UN, we pay more than 176 countries combined for the regular budget and 185 countries combined for the peacekeeping budget.

If you recall, Trump hammered them on the Campaign trail for other countries not paying their share. Only 5 of the 28 NATO countries are meeting their mandatory payments of 2% of their GDP. Without us the UN would collapse, and rightfully so.

Because it sucks. Big time.

For example – NINE members of the Human Rights Council are accused of violating Human Rights. Burundi, Egypt, Rwanda, Cuba, Venezuela, China, India, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Gee, does that say enough right there? HAHA! Oh I forgot, that same Human Rights Council declared ISRAEL to be the number 1 Human Rights Abuser in the entire world! LOL.

Good heavens, I guess it’s because they shoot back when Palestinians start stabbing them. And power hungry politicians hate the freedom and spirit of resistance that is embodied by self-defense.

Obviously, it’s much better to have cast systems like India with an entire segment of the population as actual ‘untouchables’, and where they average 4 people per day dying in police custody . Or like Saudia Arabia, where sex slavery/human trafficking is common place, they behead citizens for crimes like adultery or witchcraft, and allow torture confessions to show guilt. Or the UAE, who follows Sharia law, and flogs or stones people to death for adultery or homosexuality. Why continue the listing – you can see where I’m going. It’s a sham.

After Nikki Haley’s speech, the UN held their vote and it ended up something ridiculous like 128 ‘condemning’ our move, 9 supporting it, and 35 abstaining. Those who abstained include our allies like Australia, Mexico, and Canada. (Canada’s no surprise, PM Trudeau is every bit as gutless and clueless as Obama. Currently he wants to ‘rehabilite’ Islamic Jihadists. I think they are planning on play therapy.)

Thankfully, she told them to pound sand and promptly invited everyone who sided with us to an after-vote party where they celebrated American awesomeness.

And this isn’t the first time she’s stood up for America and reflected Trump’s bravado with her bravery.

When the UN adopted a resolution for us to end our economic embargo on Cuba, she responded:

“Let’s be honest about what we really see going on here. This assembly does not have the power to end the U.S. embargo. It is based in U.S. law, which only the United States Congress can change…. Each year, this Assembly’s time is wasted considering this resolution. And the United States is subjected to all manner of ridiculous claims – anything to deflect attention from the regime that is actually responsible for the suffering of the Cuban people.” – Nikki Haley

On Venezuela:

“The situation unfolding in Venezuela is more than a human tragedy. The crisis in Venezuela today poses a direct threat to international peace and security. On North Korea(and calling out China!):

EDIT – Christmas Day brought us the special gift of cutting $285,000,000 from our money to the UN Budget. GOOD! Since writing this, I’ve found the following numbers:

From 1996-2016, the UN Human Rights Watch has issued 135 resolutions, of which 68 were against Israel. The UN General Assembly, from 2012-2015 only issued 97 Resolutions against a single country – 83 of which were against Israel.

Yet, the UN has done NOTHING against Syria. Yep, Syria. Remember all the shocking pictures of Allepo? Nothing, nada. But they did tell Israel to hand the Golan Heights over to Syria. Because, Israel is the evilest nation in the world according to all the true Human Right Violators.

AND over ten countries are now looking at moving their Embassies. Take Note Obama, this is what a real Leader does. They LEAD and they are followed. Apologists are only followed by the meek and timid.

Also, the new Western Wall Train Terminal in Israel is being named after Trump.

You are proven wrong time and time again. It’s truly a shame you never learn from your mistakes. But the fools think themselves wise.

Transgenders should not be allowed in the Military.

The military exists to kill people and break their things. What possible benefit does allowing Transgenders to enlist, have towards our ability to wage war? Serving is not a RIGHT. It is a privilege, and it is by necessity, highly selective. There are a myriad of reasons you can’t or shouldn’t be allowed to serve. Having a mental disorder is a pretty good one.

Civilian courts ruled yesterday that we have to allow people who think their chromosomes don’t matter and have a high rate of depression, self harm, and suicide… into the military. And then they’ll have access to millions of dollars of military equipment that spreads death and destruction on our enemies.

They actually ruled against the Military, who says they don’t want them. Because a bunch of civilians in robes know SO MUCH more about the Military than those who have spent a lifetime serving and now command it.

Oh heck, let’s just admit it. The courts have become so politicized these days, that they would overturn the ‘ban’ just to thumb their noses at Trump without caring about the ramifications of their decisions. I’ll point to the Bowe Bergdhal and Kate Steine Trials as my examples of highly politicized cases and Trumps involvement.

But let’s go on…

Transgenders have a 41% rate of suicide compared to the national average of 4.6%. But sure, let’s drop them into a job where you WILL be bullied and hazed upon entry to the fraternity. It’s part of the Spirit De Corp. If you make it through basic training or boot camp and still suck, you will be hazed even more. Relentlessly. Until you leave or fix yourself. Besides, it’s a well known fact that “Pain Retains” and “Through Pain comes Discipline”.

Even if you don’t suck, you will still be hazed. Until you ‘level up'(promoted) and get to haze others – it’s a vicious circle like that. I was never much good at it, and I liked almost all my guys.

But if you want to bring up bullying(hazing) leading to a higher rate of Suicide, you are supporting people joining a culture with a high rate of suicide already. The Military suicide rate is twice as Civilians. And Transgenders are TEN TIMES higher than Civilians. So what does that make it? Like an 82% rate? I dunno. It’s math. But frankly, you are aiding transgender suicides by supporting this instead of supporting them getting mental health help.

Then there is the highly stressful rigors of combat and pre-deployment or just regular training and field ops or plain ole home life. It’s a life full of stress, misery, divorce, midget strippers, alcohol abuse, violence, money problems, and poor personnel decision making. It’s hard enough being a rational heterosexual male in the military as it is.

You’re gonna be bored, miserable, hot, cold, wet, and pissed off. You’re gonna argue, harass, and brawl with each other. It’s going to happen. And if you don’t buck up, you’re gonna get it even worse. Because the emotionally, physically, and mentally weak need to be weeded out.

And then there is showering. I showered with 70 other guys in Boot Camp. Then another six years with sometimes less, sometimes more. I saw a lot of wieners. You get used to it. Ironically, penis size jokes are rarely told. It’s hard to lie to someone when everyone knows what your packing.

So don’t think women acting like men, and men acting like women, will somehow go unnoticed. If you’re a transgender, you’d better get used to being naked in front of the opposite sex. But you probably want ‘safe spaces’ and private toilets and showers eh? Sadly, the military will probably be FORCED into creating these. Because why spend money on bullets and body armor when we can buy extra crap for a handful of people who feel different.

And I’m going to be straight up. Transgender Sexual Assault rates are 50% in the Civilian world. You’re going to be a woman (pretending to be a man) tossed into a group of horny, alpha males, with a high libido and love for drinking, fighting, and fornicating. I don’t believe the military has a Rape Culture, but there are plenty of dirt bags in it. The military does a good job with hammering these people into Leavensworth Prison. But they are out there.

(By the way, in the Marine Corps Boot Camp we were constantly instructed on morals and values…as well as symptoms of Pregnancy. Heh.. But they didn’t want us to be a bunch of mindless baby killers using flame throwers on huts because someone said so. They wanted us to do the right thing, all the time.)

So now we’ve a mess of issues that the military is forced to address now. And this opens the door to constant complaints like, “He hazed me because I’m a woman with a penis.” When really, you probably suck and deserve it.

But yeah, sometimes it’s gonna be because your transgender. Not saying it’s right, but it’s gonna happen.

Because people who stand out, get hazed the most.

Like Kylo Ren, I bet he got hazed to no end because of his goofy looks and giant ears. But now he’s a Marine Corps hero with a Lightsaber.

In my arguments against supporting the “Transgender Revolution”, this is the example I often use:

How is anyone looking in the mirror and thinking they are a man trapped in a woman’s body any different from someone suffering from Anorexia? They look into the mirror, and think that their 5’7″ frame at 82lbs is FAT. Both of you’re perceptions of reality is distorted, and it can be helped. But it only hurts you more when we tell you, yes – you are FAT or you are the opposite gender of what your Chromosomes say. Simply because we want to be ‘inclusive’ and ‘accepting’ and don’t like hurting people with truth that may save their lives.

Ultimately, pushing for acceptance and inclusion of Transgenders into society, instead of helping them overcome their problems, is morally and biologically wrong. But fools tend to think themselves wise so they shout us down as bigots and hate mongers and what nots.

So good job. Bravo. Thanks for weakening our military with your progressive ideology of ‘acceptance’.

Two AWESOME things worthy of mention.

First, Black Friday sold over 203,086 guns. That’s enough to arm the entire glorious Marine Corps and the little Coast Guard, with some left over. Yet, strangely, we won’t witness 200,000 plus murders occur this week, or next month, or next year, or the next decade. So weird! I thought guns = mass murder?

Second, Congress has FINALLY passed a bill allowing military surplus 1911’s to be sold via TheCMP.org. Sweet! I hope mine has notches carved in it from all the dead Nazis and Imperialists it slayed in RIGHTEOUS 1940’s AMERICAN FURY!

A picture got put on the internet today from a bin of 1,500 guns that were being prepped for transfer to the CMP. They look pretty good, with some nice WWI 1911’s in the mix. So far, as you can read in the link below, the picture checks out as being authentic.

The first rumor I’ve seen is they are going for $900. Which seems steep considering that M1 Garands are almost all sold out, and Service Grade Garands are going for $730. But who knows, the CMP doesn’t make much money anymore since Clinton took their public funding away because he hates guns and freedom and apple pie and his wife. (Can’t blame him on the last one.) So maybe they will be stupid expensive. It’s not like there is a lot of military surplus guns left that can legally be imported until we over-turn this annoying full-auto ban. At any rate, the super rare ones will end up in their auction going for lots of monies. So save your pennies.

And in a sad twist of irony, over 71% of you Millennial morons couldn’t even define what Communism is. I guess that’s what we get from public education, liberal indoctrination , poor parenting, and a lack of corporal punishment. This would be hilarious if it wasn’t so… in Trumps words… SAD!

You probably won’t even have to worry about voting either, because it’s either suspended or a phony election with predetermined results. You have no political power, you have no voice, or choice in the direction of your country.

The Free Tuition you want, its free alright, but its indoctrination. You don’t get to study Feminist Ideology or Gender Fluidity or whatever stupid sham of a degree you pick. You are FORCED to study what the government chooses. Because indoctrinated and ignorant masses are easy to lead. Speaking of which, if you are one of these evil professors preaching this Communist/Socialist crap – chances are you would be the first to dragged off to a gulag. That’s a labor camp, where your soft, supple hands and your haughty ideology won’t last long as you starve and work yourself to death. Because Professors and the ‘Higher Learned’ are direct threats to those in power. But I’m sure you Pinko-Commies will be more than grateful to lick their boots… assuming you (Like Bernie Sanders) ever find the courage to move to one of the countries you so highly praise. Or if you continue to drive our Country in that direction, and by some strange fluke people like me and hundreds of thousands of others with guns no longer have a say.

But good luck in Venezuela, though, (Bernie Sanders favored example of Socialism) they are eating cats and dying in the streets. Professors are turning to prostitution to survive and people are selling their kids in hopes someone else can provide for them.

And Universal Healthcare? Sure, you can have that. Even though the hospitals have a hard time getting basics like clean water or ibuprofen, and the mortality rate goes way up and life expectancy plummets like a rock. Oh, you need medicine, cat scans, MRIs, dialysis, cancer treatment, or band aids? Good luck. And technological advancements? They don’t exist unless they are government funded, and the government don’t care to spend millions experimenting through trial and error to find a cure then GIVE IT AWAY FOR FREE. (That’s why medicine costs money, because of the HUGE investment that is spent on the numerous failures before they get a hit.)

Then you pray and hope, that a country as great as America steps in, stomps your dictators face first into the mud, and hands you the freedom that WE paid for with OUR BLOOD.

But don’t worry, we don’t expect anything in return. The Liberals won’t let us take your oil as reparations for the tax money our citizens paid to fund the mighty military machine that freed you. And you Freedom Hating brainwashed losers will probably just elect the next Tyrant that offers you bread and circuses to distract you from your eventually re-enslavement anyways.

So think about all this while you whine about the evils of Capitalist Imperial America on Facebook and Twitter with your computers or smart phones while wearing your Che Guevara berets and Karl Marx t-shirts. All of those being products that would never exist anywhere except a Capitalist Republic like ours. Because Profit motivates people, and Profit creates innovation and advancement. Socialism/Communism is stagnation. And oh my goodness, what would you do without the latest $1,000 Iphone X?!?!

Sadly, an unfortunate consequence of Capitalist Innovation, is that it allows you ignoramuses to voice your ignorance to the world. Just because you can speak, doesn’t mean you should. Kind of like voting, just because you can vote, doesn’t mean you should Forest Gump your way into the polls and cancel out our EDUCATED votes with your STUPIDITY based off a celebrity opinion you read in Cosmopolitan.

We Are on the Cusp of a Second Civil War

America is under attack from within. Our culture, our history, our founding are under the most direct assault I have seen in my life. And I’m sure it’s the same with you. We haven’t seen anything like this. You might even get away with saying that we are on the cusp of a second civil war. Some of you might say that we are already into it, that it has already begun. However you characterize it, though, we are under attack from within. And it’s being bought and paid for by people from outside America, in addition to inside.

I’m thinking of people like George Soros and any other number of international financiers whose objective it is to take the United States out and down as a superpower, to literally erase the United States as a powerful or super powerful nation.

Now, folks, in order to defend America, which I believe is incumbent upon all of us, in order to defend America, you have to begin knowing our history. If you’re gonna defend the United States of America, you have to know our history. You have to know the purpose of the United States of America. You have to know unequivocally and proudly the United States’ place in history. And that is why erasing and distorting our history is crucial for the left to succeed.

None of this that is happening on the left is random. None of the riots, none of the protests. They are not the result of the left being offended by individual acts. Antifa didn’t show up in Charlottesville because they found out something was going to happen that offended them. They showed up in Charlottesville to create mayhem and cause hell. They showed up in Ferguson, Missouri, to do the same thing.

They showed up in Baltimore to do the same thing — and wherever they show up today and tomorrow and next week, it’s by design, on purpose, has an objective and an agenda. And that agenda is to erase American history. That agenda is to distort, erase, and impugn our history. It is crucial if they are to succeed. Because, you see, if enough Americans can be persuaded that America, as founded, is unjust — if enough Americans can be persuaded that America as founded is inherently racist and immoral and illegitimate — then it will be all that much easier to erase America as founded.

The two go hand in hand, which is the objective of all of these groups on the left. Whatever they’re called and wherever they go and however they organize and whatever their day-to-day purpose, their objective is to erase the history of America. It’s to restate it, to recharacterize it in such a way as to convince a majority of Americans that their country is illegitimate and has been from the get-go — is unjust and racist and bigoted and has been from the get-go.

If enough Americans can be persuaded of all of that — that America is inherently racist, that America is and has been a lie — then it’s over. That is the objective, and we are in the midst of it. Sometimes you’re so close to the forest you don’t see the trees. That’s what we are in the midst of here: An ongoing effort to erase America by discrediting the entire premise of our culture, our history, our founding. The objective is to create in as many American minds as possible that America as founded is not worth defending. Serious times.

This is a very, very serious effort that is underway. Sadly, it has a lot of allies. It has a lot of people helping it that ought to be opposing it, but they are choosing what they think is the path of least resistance, which is defined by the media. You’ve got several Republicans who I believe are unwittingly participating in the effort to cast America as indefensible, particularly with Donald Trump as president. The attacks on Trump, the characterization of his presidency, is designed to show how really flawed America is. That somebody like this could be elected, that means it’s time to get rid of the Constitution. That means it’s time to get… Whatever made Trump possible, it’s time to change it and get rid of it. This is very, very serious stuff happening here, and it has the aid and support of the media, which means it has the aid and support of the worldwide left and the Democrat Party.

America’s profound morality, kindness, widespread prosperity, and design for equal opportunity should be self-evident. But that assumes that factual, historically accurate reporting in education is taking place, and we know that it isn’t. It is a shame and a near crime that the profound morality and greatness and kindness and widespread prosperity and equal opportunity that is America isn’t known. It is a crime that those characteristics of our country are in the process being recast and erased. We are getting hysterically inaccurate reporting.

We have been in the midst of hysterically inaccurate education for generations. America is unique. America copied no other country. Every other country was a copycat of others, with governments that denied individual freedom, denied opportunity, denied sovereignty. That’s what was copied. Tyranny was copied, nation to nation, people to people. That is the history of humanity: Living in tyranny, living under authoritarianism, living in poverty, living in sickness — until the United States came along, which copied nothing.

The United States and its founders rejected all of that tyranny, oppression, poverty. In America, the individual was the supreme power. That is being erased under the premise that the individual is corrupt. The individual is likely a racist or a transphobe or a homophobe or some other ill-prepared sack of humanity, and so we need to overcome the corruption that is the individual, that incomparable embrace of humanity that is the United States of America.

There’s no place on this planet that human beings would rather be than the United States of America. And yet people born and raised in this country have been persuaded that America is a sinkhole, a hellhole, a sewer, a garbage dump, or a dungeon, and they’re in the process of actually creating all of that — under the guise that civil rights, equality, and liberty. The incomparable embrace of humanity that is the United States is under attack. Leftists, Democrats seek control over 100% of the population. They accomplish this with lies, such as the Affordable Health Care Act.

They accomplish it with one lie after another. The lies being told today are the lies designed to convince people their country is not worth maintaining as it is, their country is not worth maintaining as founded because it was founded as racist, sexist, bigoted, homophobic (you know the drill), immoral and illegitimate. Ignorant people will not remain free for very long. The media is working on a path parallel with school systems to actively and passively distort information to wipe out from the vestiges of our history and our memory any collection of stories that testify to the greatness of America and her people.

I love Elephants – But we need to slay them, eat their flesh, and wear their skins!

If I was on the Ark, I’d never let them off.

I say that, then think about how much our English Mastiff annoys me… so after 2 days of being cooped up with them I’d probably make them all walk the plank and into the ocean. Two by two. (Not enough is said about Noah’s patience.)

But I support hunting. I wish I had the time, energy, and ability to do a lot more of it. Maybe when I get to move to Wyoming… And personally, I don’t care for the sitting and waiting, and bonding with nature and reverting to your primitive self stuff… I find that boring. But I like the POW-THUD! Part. And meat, I love tasty, tender morsels of flesh.

But here we are – Elephants!

And the US of A goes collectively nuts. The left complains because they complain about EVERYTHING, and because their hero Obama put the ban in place. The right complains because hunting isn’t as popular, understood, or accepted as it used/should be.

Everyone seems to agree that it’s just so SAD to allow them to be killed!

But tell that to the African’s who have eleven-foot-tall, 13,000-pound animals for neighbors. And not just one or two, but HERDS of them. Who will stomp your fences, ruin your crops, poop in your yards, and occasionally go on rampages that destroy houses and cars and kill you, your family, or your neighbors.

So what’s worse?

Or putting upwards of $50,000 into an impoverished economy, humanely and quickly killing a troublesome elephant, giving literally thousands of pounds of meat to the starving locals, and getting a hunt of a lifetime, some pictures, and maybe a pair of ivory tusks to hang on your wall?

Easy answer.

But you know what else all that evil, rich, white hunter money goes towards?

Anti-Poaching teams and land/game conservation efforts.

Take that away and see how well these dirt poor countries do at keeping their animals alive. Starving people don’t give a crap how rare an animal is, they’ll eat it as fast as they can kill it. HUGE swaths of Africa are nothing but wasteland because there has been no conservation efforts. But most countries understand the VALUE of leaving them alone for hunters to come pour money into their economy and food on their table.

An elephant getting killed is cause for celebration to local villages. They pour out by the hundreds to start hacking off slabs of meat. Nothing goes to waste.

Now here’s where people say, “But they are magnificent creatures!” (Yes. Yes they are!)

They are intelligent, clever, with a family like social structure, and they even mourn their dead!

Just like Pitbulls right? And they are out right banned, and sometimes confiscated from their owners and killed for simply existing in many cities across America because of the ‘threat’ they pose. And dogs are family members.

They are attractive, intelligent, and social animals, just like Elephants. Except they are loyal and protective.

Mr. Elephant don’t care about you.

So what’s your point?

“They are RARE! Right?” Sure, more rare than the most common breed of dog in America, that so many people automatically hate because of a bunch of crappy owners raising crappy dogs and getting plastered all over the news? Rhetorical Question!

Yes and no, but that’s where conservation comes in.

And believe it or not, conservation is not ‘sit back and let the animals do what they want and never get involved’. Conservation is taking the responsibility of carefully cultivating a species to maintain a healthy population. This means culling. Selectively choosing a certain portion of a herd and removing them to keep the herd healthy.

Quick fact. In the 1950’s Turkeys in North Carolina numbered around 2,000. Through hunting/conservation efforts – By 2015 there are around 250,000 turkeys and hunters were taking out around 30,000 of them a year.

I don’t want to get to heavy into this. But if you allow a herd of deer to reproduce without culling, you’re going to have over-populated area problems. Starvation, disease, car accidents, and predators moving into the area. (Coyotes don’t care what’s on the end of your leash, be it Poodle or Kid. Food is food.) And at the rate of two Bambi’s per Doe a year, they reproduce FAST.

If you think it’s sad for hunters to humanely shoot deer and eat the meat or mount the rack on their wall, think how sad it is for hundreds of deer to slowly starve to death or die of disease?

Or maybe you should youtube predators in action. Trust me, nature is no where near as humane as the treasured ‘one shot drop’. Watch some poor cute animal get ham stringed, then ripped apart and eaten while it’s still alive and tell me we are somehow worse than nature taking it’s course.

Coming back to Elephants, it’s the same thing. There may be less of them, but they need to be properly managed by HUNTERS and CONSERVATIONISTS. They don’t need a bunch of people hollering that every single elephant is precious and should be allowed to live!

They need to be treated like a protected and treasured resource.

If an area can’t support a population, they MUST be culled until it can. And most African countries get this, that’s why they have permits and put resources in place. Other African countries, like Zimbabwe, is an empty field of silent death where nothing sings or moves because the natives killed and ate everything they could find.

This is the jist of the argument:

Basic Americans – “Don’t hurt them!”

Basic Africans – “Kill them! Kill them all!”

African Governments – “Here, go kill whats needed and give us tons of monies. And Stop Poachers! Because they are screwing our balancing up!”

And please don’t bring up the whole ‘evil hunter’ thing that just pumps bullet after bullet into critters. It shows ignorance.We are not poachers spraying Elephants with full-auto AK-47’s and RPKs.

First off, because we can’t buy full-auto guns like that. (Write your congress critter – cause we’d like to!)

Second – No one likes to have to track a wounded animal. It takes time and effort and it sucks. You may not find it, you may have to wander around in the woods all night with a flash light. That REALLY sucks for a hunter. One shot drops are where it’s at and what we all hope for. Be it bunny, deer, or Snuffaluffagus. But if need be, we will hurl another bullet into them as fast as possible if the first didn’t finish them off.

Elephants, Lions, Tigers, Bears, and Oh-My’s are no different. Except those critters may very well kill you if you don’t kill it quick enough.

And probably Snuffy too. Don’t let his Sesame Street behavior fool you.

Personally, I don’t have much interest in shooting an Elephant. Not my thing. I hear Cape Buffalo are a real dangerous thrill and that Hippo’s are not the giant peaceful cows people think they are. But I’d love to wax a Rhino. Won’t happen in my lifetime, but with good conservation and poacher-prevention, and a big inheritance, maybe they will be plentiful enough that my descendants can kill one for me.

Also – Sat is opening rifle day, so I’m going hunting for many deers. Wish me luck.

To sum up, countries that ban hunting had severe Elephant herd declines due to poaching where-as countries that allowed hunting and promoted conservation saw Elephant herds INCREASE.

On the writing side of things, I discovered SCRIVENER a couple days ago. And actually made myself motion-sick last night by scrolling, cutting, pasting, scrolling, repeating, over almost 80,000 words last night into the program. But it’s supposed to be awesome, right now it’s just kind of confusing. But being able to bounce easily between chapters instead of searching a YUGE 170ish page Word document for the part I need to edit or left off at, is nice.
